grains
Grains such as maize, millet, rice, rye and wheat have been transported by sea, especially in the Mediterranean, since ancient times. Today the largest exporters of grains are the United States, Australia, Argentina, the European Union and Canada. However, as more than 100 countries around the world are in demand of grains, Linas Agro has specialised in trading raw materials purchases directly from farmers in Belarus, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and the Ukraine. In Lithuania alone we get our supplies from more than 1,700 cooperative farms and private farmers.
We mainly trade wheat, barley, rye, and oats – supplying both mills and producers of feedstuffs. Today we also supply customers in the energy sector.
